Waterworks Aquatics Parent and Me Swim Preview Class for OC Mommies

Waterworks Aquatics offers one the finest swimming lessons in Orange and Los Angeles Counties. They have chosen to share their love of swimming with children and believe there is a swimmer in every child. Waterworks Aquatics has opened their doors for OC Mommies Members by offering FREE Water Safety and Parent and Me Preview Classes. OC Mommies and Waterworks will be offering this class once every three months just for our members.

Parent and Me Class Background

Our Parent & Me class is for children ages 4 months to 3 years old and their parents to experience the water together. In these classes, more time will be spent teaching the parents how to teach their children in the water. As a result, the rate of progress in their parent me program will be slower when compared to a private or semi-private lesson. However, the activities presented in the parent and me program contain valuable skill sets that will help prepare them for a private/semi-private lesson.

There are a maximum of 6 babies/parents per class in the parent and me beginner and intermediate classes. The parent and me advanced class consists of a maximum of 3 babies/parents per class.

Their goal is for all of the students under the age three to swim independently through the water by rolling on their backs to breathe.

Waterworks Aquatics offers three different classes in our Parent and Me program:

Beginner

Our Beginner class is an introductory class for new students. Instructors will explain skill sets and routines as well as assist parents with submersions, back floating, and movement in the water.
(ages 4 months to 3 years)

Intermediate

Independent submersions, breath control, and rolling to the back are three skills that are emphasized in the Intermediate class. Parents are encouraged to allow their children to become more independent in the water.
(ages 4 months to 3 years)

Advanced

Our Advanced class is designed to transition students from the Parent & Me classes to Private or Semi-Private classes. Instructors will work with each student during the class and help them develop the skills necessary to swim independently.
