My favorite baby shower gift, by far, is the Aden & Anais swaddle blankets. These get the most use out of any gift I received. At first I thought these were just more blankets to add to the many I already received; however, I soon learned that these were different. These are made of 100% cotton muslin making them soft beyond comparison and much more lightweight than other swaddle blankets. Since they are so lightweight you can swaddle your baby without fear of overheating. Also, since the wraps are so much larger (47' x 47') your baby won't outgrow them so quickly. These wraps quickly became my son's favorite item as well. When he seems to be getting fussy, I just grab one of these blankets to give to him and it seems to calm him immediately. He loves to chew on the blanket and bring it up to his cheek during naptime. I think it makes him feel secure and comfortable. Not only do I use these blankets as swaddle wraps for my son, but I also use them for stroller covers, burp cloths, tummy time blankets, and any other time a blanket or cloth is needed.
