Pop-Tarts: Made for fun. Really?
Tonight as I watched a recorded TV show (that ran during prime time), I came across a commercial that angered me. It was about Pop-Tarts. It had these happy looking cartoon features (kids and mom), lots of colors, most of which looked like candy and then the tag-line for the Pop-Tarts was "Made for Fun". Maybe I'm a bit…

We eat a lot of fruit in our house. Sometimes I get a little over zealous and buy way too much and end up with a basket of super ripe fruit at the end of the week. We usually use this to make smoothies or popsicles. We have been mixing up some interesting concoctions over here & I wanted to share a few. (my popsicle mold makes 6 so these recipes are all for 6 pops.)
Honeydew Lime Pops
1/2 honeydew or canary melon cubed
2 limes, juiced
2 tablespoons…

My Fav Toddler Meal
So, I'll be honest - I kind of made this up. After we visited Pomme Baby in Newport Beach I was inspired to find something my new eater would be interested in - she had just started trying to feed herself and I was looking for a healthy complete protein for meals. Its super easy - Trader Joe's sells already cooked brown rice in the frozen section and a veggie mix called Soy-cotash. Its the traditional succotash mix with soy beans instead of lima beans, plus green beans and corn, but any…

Artichoke Bruschetta- Because I Can't Cook
Cooking has always been something "I wish" I could do good. Unfortunately, especially now with baby, I find myself making the "easys". But- come the holidays, I love throwing parties and I LOVE making appetizers and snacks. I get all of my recipes from www.allrecipes.com. This website has seriously been my lifesaver…
