Since Reagan has been born, we go back in forth from crib to my bed, my bed to crib, etc, etc. We have been playing bedtime musical chairs for the past 7 months. I’ve been campaigning for her to sleep in her crib and she, of course, has been campaigning to sleep in my bed. Without going to much in the details of that, let’s just say Reagan has…

Fussy Baby- Is My Baby Colic?

At Reagan’s 4-week check up, her pediatrician said to me, “oh, and watch for colic, it peaks at about 6 weeks”. I thought to myself, “nah, not my daughter, she’s an easy baby”. Well…..6 weeks on the dot, colic ws in full force and it got progressively worse as the weeks went on.

Her…

I'm Eating for Two!

No, no…… it’s not due to pregnancy. Actually, since I have been feeding Reagan solid foods, I’ve actually started eating more myself! Here is how it all started. We went to lunch as a family the other weekend. I thought I would order Reagan something from the kids menu. It was so exciting; she was going to have her first “big girl” meal at a…

Does Your Baby Cry In The Car?

Ever since Colin was born he has screamed in the car. I thought he finally got over this at about 6 months, and now at 10 months it started again! I feel so bad for him when he is crying, but there really isn't much I can do besides sing or play music. If it gets really I bad I usually pull the car over. When he was younger I would have to pull the car over and nurse him!! I get so much anxiety when he does this. Why does my baby have to hate the car? When I tell people this they always say,…

Is My Son Teething?

For the last 2 days my 10 month old baby has been whining, fussing, and biting. He is usally a bit of a fusser so it is very hard to distinguish true pain compared to just being a little angry. The biting is driving me nuts! I feel like a human teether! Actually, when I think about it, he's been biting for awhile. He bites my shoulder, my arm, my leg, basically whatever he can attack! I don't know what to do! I try to give him teething toys, frozen waffles, Sophie the giraffee, but nothing is… Continue

Cleaning Baby Toys

This was one of the things I was most confused about when I became a mom. On one hand, you want your child's toys to be clean and disinfected. On the other hand, you don't want to use harmful chemicals and cleaners on the toys that will be going right into your baby's mouth!

Did you know, according to some experts, that plain old white distilled vinegar is effective in killings bacteria and germs? Apparently white distilled…

Battle at Fort Changing Table

All of the sudden, diaper changing has become a stand off between Reagan and I. You would think that changing a diaper was the end of the world. It actually used to be a fun bonding time for us. I had a mobile above her changing table and we would laugh and giggle together as the animals rotated around. I was table to entertain her with the simple peek-a-boo game and we could stay there for a good 5 minutes.

But now I have to restain her every time to even get the diaper off. And…
