New Breastfeeding Law For Nursing Moms at Work
Here is the an excerpt from the article today on MSNBC by Eve Tahmincioglu
When Stacey Weiland was a gastroenterology fellow and a new mother she had trouble finding the time or a place to pump breast milk at the Colorado hospitals where she worked, and often ended up in a bathroom stall or just not pumping at all.
Weiland would wear heavy sweaters in order to hide any milk leakage from…

Most moms shudder at the thought of starting the potty training process with their stubborn, independent, "perfectly happy in their diaper" toddlers. The key is watching for their signs of readiness and then making it a process that they can proudly do on their own.
I recommend you start teaching the basics around the age of 18 months. This includes defining "pee pee" and "poo poo" (or whatever words you use for it), showing them how you do it and getting a potty that they…

I love my son! He is the awesomest. He is creative, silly, excited, loving, funny, smart and almost 2! That's where our problem lies. All my life I have been warned about the terrible 2s- working at KinderCare I experienced it, but now that my son is approaching that age I am living it! Every day is filled with "No" and whiny noises when things aren't going his way, when he is bored, when he is hungry, when he is mad, when he is tired- so needless to say the whining is CONSTANT in this…

Is There Anything Funnier Than a Toddler??
How can you resist loving toddlers. I'm not going to lie, there are trying times with these little ones (tantrums, the constant "no's" etc). However, there is never a dull moment in the life of toddlers. I love the hilarious things that come out of their mouths, the funny things they do with their friends and their little goofy personalities.
Every day my daughter comes up with the FUNNIEST conversation points!
One of her favorite phrases is "Hold You".. when what she really…

I get asked a lot which diet is the best out there. there are a lot of good ones out there, but they all take discipline. Most of all a diet with whole foods, vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, no packaged or boxed foods. "eating clean" as they call it.
But First in…

Medela Breast Pump Recalled
So I knew I wasn't crazy and my pump seemed to lose suction as it was going... grrr... I even posted on here for help and the advice I got was I was washing my tubbing wrong or it still had water in it? So I just cut back on the pumping a lot cause I was annoyed. My baby was born March 26th 2010 and I purchased the Double Backpack pump from Babies R Us a couple weeks before that. At least I can have a new pump ready for baby #2 due in July. Maybe some of you are in the same boat so here's…

A Good Bra Is Hard to Find...
This may border TMI, but it's no secret that after you've had a baby and have breastfed...or even if you havent, the girls just aren't what they used to be...
I was a strong DD before I got pregnant...and they were perky and just lovely. I loved my boobs (or as I affectionately call them, 'Thelma & Louise'). They were my friends and one of my best assets. Then I got pregnant and within the first trimester they grew to a G cup. That's right. G. So they were gargantuan,…
