Hi all. We are getting ready to babyproof the house and were wondering what are some of the products that you all really like. Thanks!

Oh yes the library! I keep forgetting it, someone told me they have reading time sometimes with toys and activities for the little ones (because I can't imagine JJ sitting through a whole story), need to check it out. I'll let you know if I start my daycare/preschool program. JJ just had a "test" day at the Blessed Sacrament Church preschool here in Placentia and it went really well, it's the only school I like from what I've seen and I think the cheapest. Not sure if he'll be accepted because of the age, they think he's too young having just turned 2 recently. I'm also not sure if I want to enroll him yet if they do accept him, really thinking about starting here at the house with my own program to then start preschool at age 3. We'll see. Let me know if you do the music class.
Let's plan a park play date! I've been trying to keep JJ more active and entertained lately and the weather has been good again :)
Hi Noelle! I've been looking at preschools but haven't found anything I like yet. I don't know if I've mentioned before but I used to run a small home daycare in my house so I'm now strongly considering re-starting it but focusing on an introduction to preschool program for JJ's age group. Aside from that, I'm also looking for sports and music classes, I found some at Brea Community classes that I might enroll him, they are "Kiddies Gymnastics" on Mondays 9:45-10:24am $48, "Kids Love Music" on Wednesdays 5-5:45pm $60 and "Fun on the Farm" Fridays 11-12pm $65. I think they are all 5 meetings each and I might pick one or two out of the three to start slow since he has never taken any classes on a regular schedule. Are you looking for anything like that for Dylan?
We are doing good! Really hard keeping up with JJ but the most fun watching him grow and change so fast :)
Let me know how you are doing! and when you are ready and feel like meeting up.
Hi Noelle, We are doing good. Things were pretty much the same as the last time we talked until Monday. Monday was day 1 of no more nursing (a little emotional for me) but of course Cordelia didn't know that so we have been up both mornings at 4:00am wanting to nurse. These last 2 mornings I have gone to her and tried to soothe her with no luck and we have ended up sleeping on the couch. But I think tomorrow morning (Wednesday) I am going to let her cry. I am going to put a sippy cup of water in her crib when I got to bed so if she is thirsty she can drink that but I don't want her to get in the habit that I go into her at 4:00am. Naps are also going pretty good. We are down to 1 a day from about 11:30-1:00, I am hoping to get that to 12:00-2:00 in the next few weeks.
Sorry about the cold. It always seems that once things start going well something happens wether it is a cold, teething or a trip..
Hi Noelle-
Well, when I originally posted about sleep training I was trying the Ferber method, it worked to put her to bed at night but not so much when she woke up in the middle of the night. So I would end up at around 2am with her sleeping on my chest in our bed, not the best idea but hey we all needed sleep. However, just this past Friday I decided to quit cold turkey and try the Weisbluth extinction method. Friday night was hard -- she woke up twice and SCREAMED for an entire hour, but Saturday night she still woke up twice but only SCREAMED for 30 minutes, then Sunday she only woke up once and fussed for about 20 minutes and since then she has been sleeping from 7:00-5:00. Now, I get up with her at 5:00 to nurse her and then we go back to sleep until 7. I call this a win! Now, to work on the nap schedule :-)
