- Hi! I am originally from Toronto, Canada. I moved to Irvine eight years ago for graduate school (I am an anthropologist). I have been lecturing at Cal State Fullerton since 07, and took the semester off from teaching to stay home with my baby. My husband and I married in Feb 09 and we had our first baby this past May. Yes I am as well. My daughter, Elena, is 15 months. Everything changes after the 1 year birthday, it's amazing. Suddenly they become so active and mobile, more so than they were. But it's so much fun. I love this age! The older she gets, the less she wants to stay inside the house. She walks to the garage door and looks at me like "are we going da-dar today?"
