Does anyone know the difference between the Britax Advocate CS Click and Safe vs. the Advocate 70 CS? I can't seem to find a write up on it.

Solid Foods

My son is 11 months and really would prefer to feed himself. However, we are very cautious about chocking and limit what we let him feed himself. However, I need some new ideas. We've been letting him feed himself pease, puffs, baked apples, baked sweet potatoes, ground chicken and rice. Does anyone have any other ideas of great foods he can feed himself and what's the best way to cook them?THanks, erikaSee More

Toddler Food Ideas

My son is 11 months and he no longer wants to eat purees and loves to feed himself. However, we are extremely cautious about the types of solids we feed him. So far I give him the puss, peas, ground chicken, cooked apples, rice, cooked sweet potatoes and cooked carrots. However, I feel that we need to try some other foods that he can feed to himself but I still want to be cautious because we aren't with him during the day. Does anyone have any ideas to share?

Tell Us About Yourself
I'm a first time mom to my 2-month old son, Nathan. I grew up in Orange County and met my husband 3 years ago. We got married and had a baby and we're very happy. We just bought a house in Brea and I don't have many friends close by that are new mommies. So, I can't wait to meet more mommies like me.

Hi Erika, it was really nice to meet you and getting out to lunch was a great idea :) Downtown Fullerton lunch at Heroes next time sounds great! my husband said he wants to join us :) and we should definitely try to schedule a walk around here somewhere.
The cream I mentioned is "Calendula Cream Nature's First-Aid" by California Baby, it's a small jar with yellow label. It says it's recommended for eczema and other skin sensitivities, for babies and sensitive adults. The coconut oil is also a good idea although I personally haven't had much success with it but it's definitely the most natural approach :) If you are looking for a more holistic doctor, I suggest Dr. Feder, her background is in both traditional and natural medicine (she is in LA). She has a great book called "Natural Baby and Childcare". I also heard of a really good holistic doctor in Newport Beach, I'll try to get her contact (this is just a suggestion for a second opinion, I would still keep the pediatrician as the main doctor). Dr. Feder also has a book on vaccination.
Thanks for the info on the classes in La Mirada!
Hope to see you soon!

It was so nice to meet you Erika! Sorry I had to dine and dash. Sebastian had a busy morning and was crashing. I am pretty much open except for Thursdays when I pile up my doctor appointments. Lunch at Heroes sounds fun!

Erika, I was in Brea the other day and wished I had your contact info, so we could meet at Craig park...message me and I'll give you my number. Sadly, I go back to work Monday...so hope to see you at future meet-ups and maybe during summer; I don't plan to teach summer school. Nice meeting you and Nathan at the park:)

I'm looking for a nanny or in-home day care starting in mid-July. Does anyone know of anyone looking or any in-home daycare options?
