Lately its been shopping. No place in particular, because everyone has had holiday decor out since October. Laurin LOVES looking at lights, shinny things, brightly colored ornaments, bobbles and has helped "pick" out a few new things for the house this year. I am more excited for the holidays this year than ever because I'm getting to see it through her eyes as she sees it for the first time. Favorite Date Night Spot In The OC - Ruby's at Huntington Beach

It may not be Ruths Chris Steak House...which I love...but Hubby and I have gone a few times in the evening since having Laurin. We bundle her up, walk down to Ruby's for some dinner and a shake of course! Then bundle Laurin back up and take a nice relaxing stroll along the beach. You get a wonderful view of the setting sun, some good food and a nice walk along the beach. Its perfect for us because we are pretty low key and don't have to get too dressed up to go here.

This is a recent one for me, but made my heart skip a beat more than others so far. Laurin is nearly 6 months old now, and has been reaching out to grab things for sometime now...its random, silk flowers, animals, books, Grandma's necklace, Daddy's glasses and so on.

On top of everything else she's doing, she's also got 2 teeth coming in and has her teething fits in the afternoons mostly. A few weekends ago we were at my Mom's for an over nighter when one of her teething episodes hit.… Continue

Yes...I know...award winning name there..but the first time I my family had it we were at a barn potluck and the person who "threw" it together didn't have a name for it. Its a complex meal (if you have a hard time with can openers) and you will spend hours slaving over a stove (by stove I mean crock pot) Ok...sillyness aside, its really quite easy to make.

Items needed:

1 crock pot

2-3 chicken breasts or 1 chuck roast

1 large can of Kidney beans (drained)
