Environmental Nature Center Summer Camp
Join us at the Environmental Nature Center in Newport Beach for a taste of Summer Camp! Bring your family and walk our trails. Along the trail encounter your favorite Camp Teachers and Junior Naturalists, who have amazing activities in store for you! Free Activities include: make a cloud in a jar, make nature rubbings, visit the Butterfly House, hike the "Un-nature Trail," launch a “poppin’ rocket”!, follow a water droplet's journey, experiment with surface tension, make a volcano and cause it to erupt!, learn about states of matter and sublimation with dry ice, see and touch live reptiles, amphibians, arthropods and mammals!, and learn to make string and use pump drills like the Native Americans did. Junior Life Guard Essentials Camp
Essential Junior Guards is a one week program that exposes the participant to the basic Junior Guard experience in a less demanding format that allows for more"fun" time.
The program is instructed by our certified Junior Lifeguard instructors. Essential Junior Guards is run in the same general area as the 3-week program. Participants will receive introductory training in several of the skills that are presented in the 3-week program, such as ocean safety, physical fitness, health and nutrition, environmental awareness, swimming skills and first-aid.
