The Dana Point Festival of Whales is one of Southern California’s largest seafaring celebrations and reaches out to whale admirers around the world. Dana Point is teeming with festivities every winter during this special time of year, offering something for everyone. The Festival draws nearly 100,000 visitors each year.Festival highlights include an opening day parade, Whale of a Block Party, art exhibits, classic car exhibits, paddling events, sand sculpting, concerts on land and water, environmental activities, educational opportunities, interpretive crafts, kids activities, and of course, whale watching excursions on a variety of vessels or whale watching from breathtaking Dana Point Headlands Conservation Park
Set in beautiful Newport Beach, a few blocks away from spectacular coastline and less than an hour from Hollywood, the Festival annually hosts several premieres and galas for a singular festival experience. Films will be shown throughout the city that boasts one of the largest movie consumer groups in the world, a rich filmmaking history as well as fine dining, shopping, and exceptional recreational activities.
In addition, the Newport Beach Film Festival offers filmgoers a rare opportunity to meet the filmmakers. Directors, screenwriters and cinematographers eager to share their work will provide an exclusive inside look at the industry during post-screening Q&A’s.
Soka University will celebrate the 12th Annual International Festival from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Enjoy an expected 900 musicians and dancers performing on three stages and over 250 non-profit, craft and business exhibitors. The 2013 International Festival will again be part of the Orange County's Imagination Celebration, presented in cooperation with Arts Orange County and the Orange County Department of Education. There will be lots of international food, exhibitors, games and activities, art exhibitions, ceramic sales and demos, a children's play area with Superslide and Bounce House, student projects --- and much more! Celebrating its 36th year, The Irish Fair & Music Festival has become the largest festival of its kind in Western
America. With 16 entertainment areas featuring the best in Irish music and numerous events and display, the fair visitor will be hard pressed to take it all in. Over the years the fair has brought the best of Irish entertainers such as: Tommy Makem, the Clancy Brothers, Hal Roach, Andy Cooney, The Chieftians, the Irish Rovers, Carmel Quinn, Dennis Day and in recent years The Fenians and Young Dubliners just to name a few.
