Hey peeps... Has anyone ever been to a Zumba class? People talk about it all of the time... I'm not really sure what it is, but it sounds like a lot of fun... Would anyone be interested in trying one out?

It's really fun! What gym do you belong to? I go to 24 HR Fitness.
Who's Gym? Ha. I havent belonged to a gym since the Clinton administration. I need to start going though. I love the classes and I really want to try this Zumba thing... Everyone who has done it raves about it!

i think its like a dance thing - i hear its super fun, we should try it!
The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba® Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got a Zumba® class!

Sounds like fun!!! Nicole you should organize an event for us :-)!
There's a YMCA on Crown Valley in Laguna Niguel that offers this Mon-Thurs nights. I contacted them regarding a trial class. Ill keep you updated!!! :)
Sorry- I didn't even explain what it was:) Thanks for posting that Candice. It really is a fun dance workout. It's honestly not too hard to follow either.
If your interested in a Zumba class shoot me an email or reply back to this discussion - would you want to do a morning class (there is childcare - personally my child wont stay there but she's a mamas girl! the caretakers are really nice) or an evening class - like a friday with a little latin-fusion cocktail afterwards :) thanks for getting us excited about this Nicole!!
Weeknights are best for me. I tried taking Colin to yoga today and we had to leave because everytime I walked away from him he cried:(
We're not quite morning people yet...lol. But I'm working on that. In the mean time, I'd love to do it at night when I can leave Kevin with his dad. I've never left him in a daycare type situation before so I'd feel better leaving him home for now...If evenings work for everyone else... I'm so excited! (Oh..also...I'll be out of town from 6/21-7/5...so I wont be able to do it during that time...but schedule what works best for everyone who is interested and I'll catch up the next time!)
Weeknight is fine with me...
That sounds like lots of fun! I've been looking for something to do to work out, but haven't been motivated enough because I find the gym so boring. This sounds like a good alternative.
