Hello ladies,
I was thinking about getting a membership to the Santa Ana Science Center but was wondering if anyone has tried to use the reciprocal membership at any of the LA museums like the Natural History Museum or even the La Habra Children's Museum.
For those not familiar- if you get a membership to a museum that is a member of the ASTC group, they supposedly give discounted or free entrance to participating museums all over the country, and within your own state. However, one of the caveats is that it does not work for museums within 90 miles of each other.
We used to have a membership for our science center in Charlotte, NC and most of the other museums in the area were very lax about the 90 mile rule. We were always allowed free admission.
Has anyone had any experience using their reciprocal membership in So Cal?

I'm not familiar with Reciprocal memberships to museums. However, if you are looking for free museum passes - every first Sunday of the month; the bowers museums waive their entrance fees. We went this pass Sunday and my daughter loved it.
I hope this helps.

We're in the process of relocating from LKN (Mooresville) to somewhere with a short commute to Foothill Ranch. My house hunting trip is in a few weeks. Is there a place to post about relo questions?
Thanks, Lara
Sorry, I just saw this.
We did move from Charlotte last year, but it for my husband's PhD program here in Irvine. We live on campus. I still don't know much about the area. I would just post the questions in the general discussion area. That's kind of what I did when we moved here.
Irvine has a fabulous school district, but Orange County as a whole has some pretty good schools.
