For anyone who has a little mover on their hands... Pack n' Play. Get one. Immediately.

I've never been so excited to clean. I was able to put Kevin in it for an hour today and he just played and rolled around. I went over every few minutes to talk to him and play for a minute or two and then get back to cleaning.

I was able to totally straighten up my living/dining rooms and start a load of laundry. Doesnt sound like much, but this is an enormous accomplishment for one day with no help from my husband.

Seriously. Pack n Play, Play Yard, Play Pen...Whatever you want to call it. I'm calling it awesome.

And there are so many nice ones that grow w/ baby's needs. We travel a lot every month, so we got a Chicco that has a great bassinette section, awesome toys and a flap that we roll down during naps. We took it on the road and my son slept in it comfortably. When he got too big for bassinette section (there is a weight limit), we just plopped him in the bottom part. This has been his full-time play area and bed for about 1 year now. About 1 month ago (he is 19 mos now), he figured out how to climb out; we got the playard tent which worked great for about 3 days until he figured out how to pop the clips off and then it became dangerous. So now he is being transitioned to a toddler bed, but I still have the playard set up in the living room, so I can cook without him throwing all the plasticware on the floor, go upstairs to do laundry or go to the bathroom by myself!! ;)
Isn't it great!! Ours had the bassinet and a changing table too! It also has a canopy so its great for being outside...I can even use it at the beach! LOVE IT!!!

im in the market for a second one for grandma and grandpas - i love your pattern! what brand is it?
Its the Graco Utopia Collection. I couldn't find it online at Babies R Us just now, but I saw it recently at the Babies R Us in Irvine. I like that it has a canopy on it so I can use it outside as well!
