I worked out through most of my pregnancy till the last couple of weeks. I am not a workout fanatic, but I had a need to move and be active so I had a couple of good exercise videos and walked a lot. That seemed to do the trick for me. Well, needless to say, after baby was born, I haven't really had time to even think about working out, but my body needs some activity.

So I need some suggestions about places or classes that you've taken, heard of or can recommend. I'm so out of shape it's not even funny. I NEED to get moving!

Hi Sandra,
I would try Stroller Strides or Baby Bootcamp. they are great workouts, and you can bring Penny with you. I live n Irvine and go to LA fitness and I LOVE the childcare there. I go 3 times a week to lift weights, but I hear their classes are amazing! When you get your booty in better shape you are always welcome to try my weight training class (this week on Wed) but it is geared for the advanced!
And the most important thing... just move! get up get out and go! Walk, do a little abs and stretching everymorning. the more you do the better you will feel and the more you will want to do!
I would love to do a baby bootcamp class. I live in yorba Linda. Do you of any in the area?

Hey Noelle-

She owns Babyboot camp out here. If her class is too far for you she might be able to direct you to one closer to you.

Check out the classes at Studio Seaside (www.studioseaside.com); childcare is included in the cost for the classes. They have gear, toys and activities for all ages... infants through tweens. There is a nice variety of classes and levels. (The owner teaches a prenatal fitness class through the City of NB and she might also be a Stroller Strides instructor.)
That place looks fabulous! I am going to have to check it out! That isn't too far from me either! Thanks for posting Michelle.

HI Michelle, do you do some of their classes or have you been? It looks pretty amazing to me so I'm going to definitely look into it ;)

Yay, thanks so much for all the suggestions. I'm looking into Stroller Strides since I've heard lots of good things about it, but that Studio Seaside looks pretty amazing and I love the idea behind it. I've been walking quite a bit. I live in MV and there's quite a bit of walking to be done... up the hill, down the hill and I live so close to a grocery store so it helps to run down and up the hill there with Penny in tow. It's quite the workout but I'd like to do something more structured as well so I'll look into these options : )
I go to Stroller Strides in RSM and Ladera Ranch and it's lots of fun!
Hi Laura,

I'm looking into attending one session this week. Maybe we'll meet. I believe it's MWF, correct? Anyway, I'm excited and looking forward to it : )

Great! Yes, It's Mon. and Wed. at the Central Park and Fridays at the RSM Lake. There are also workouts at Ladera Ranch on Tues. and Thurs. See you there!
