Hi ladies!

My department at work, Children and Family Futures, is hiring a part time person (~20 hours a week) to do data entry and management. It requires someone who can type relatively well, 10 key data and has experience with Excel. It is preferred to have someone with a social science background (e.g., social work, sociology, criminology, etc.).

We evaluate courts that work with parents who have had a baby who tested positive for drugs at birth and/or drugs were part of a neglect case. This person would work with the Research and Evaluation Division (all six of us :)) and could potentially turn into something more if you were interested and your skill sets match.

I have attached the job description. I work there now part time and can tell you that there is always work to do and you have to be someone who can be prioritize tasks based upon need. This position would be able come to work and do what you need to do and leave your work at work :)

I personally enjoy working there and it is a great fit for me to still have days with my son.

Where is the company located?  Are the hours flexible or is it a certain time each day that they need someone there?

Hi Karen -

They are located at the corner of Irvine Blvd and Yale in Irinve. The hours you choose to work are negotiable so you might be able to work two long days or three short days for example. They will want a set schedule though so they can plan out work. They have always been very accommodating to me when I need a day off or my son is sick.

This sounds very interesting.  My concern is, my bacground may not be in libe with what they perfer.  Do you think it will be advantageous of me to just apply anyway?
Hi Ikila-

I think if you are strong in the skill sets they need it would be worth applying.

Best,
Holly
