Good Home Based Daycare in Irvine?

Hello,

Our 6 mo old daughter currently attends full time daycare in Irvine. However, we are looking for a more economical solution in the Irvine area in the form of a licensed home based daycare possibly. Does anyone have recommendations for a good one with openings in Irvine? We have the list from the Irvine city website, but are looking for personal experiences.

Also, what are the average costs for home based daycares in Irvine if anyone has an idea? I imagine it would be less than what we pay ($1400/mo), but maybe I'm wrong.

Hi Bella and Vy,

My 6 month old son is also going to KinderCare Westpark and has been there for over 3 months now. I am putting some feelers out to see if anyone else is looking to nanny-share or found an alternative home based care. Any feedback would be great!

Hello Carmela,

 

I am interested in looking into a Nanny share option. I am pregnant now and due in 6 weeks, so looking to start a nanny share in March or early April. Please let me know if you are interested in discussing further. I live in Newport Coast and work in Irvine.

Carmela! Your son and my daughter are in the same Infant class. He's so cute! And he was teething badly the last time I saw him. Hope he's better. My daughter got sick at the end of her first week so she's been home... I would love to hear about your experience thus far with KinderCare.

If you look on the City of Irvine's website, you will find listings of in home child cares listed by villages. Here is a link: http://www.cityofirvine.org/cityhall/cs/childcare/default.asp. The child care listings are on the left hand side. Some homes have email addresses, some have websites, and all have phone numbers and all are licensed. I used to be a child care provider in Irvine and this is such a great tool!
Also, check out care.com. However, not all choices on care.com are licensed. A good thing about being licensed is those home are regulated by the state.
