Any other working nurses out there? Where are the RN mommies?
Hello! I took the year off when my son was born, then after that I have been working on/off Per-diem and registry just a day here and there, then 1-2 days per week for the past 10 months and I have just recently taken on a full time job ( I'm in ICU, work 12-hour days ) so just 3 days a week.
I am wondering if I may be working alongside other moms and not even know it? Anyone? How's the transition been for you? Do you work 3 days? Just two? One?

hey tatiana! wow! ICU! you go, mama! I'm a RN too, but have spent the last few yrs working for a medical group as an outpatient case mgr, in a local office until i had the girls, now it's from home...would love to talk more RN shop with you! i miss the hospital sometimes and i think often of returning once the girls are in school but the 12 hour shifts will be really hard for me. let's meet up soon!

Miko, that's so crazy, see? That's why I sent this out... I never knew you were an RN... and yeah, the 12-hour shifts are tough, but I LOVE, love, love what I do and so far can't see myself doing anything else, and in this field the hours are ALWAYS 12-hour shifts... Man, working from home? That's crazy lucky! Hope to see you around soon and talk more!!! :)
